Tim represents the fourth generation on the farm and, along with our two sons, we expanded our cash crop farm in 2004 to include some animals. We love animals and year after year we continue to grow, aiming to produce as much of our meat products as possible without the use of medicated feeds.
We strive to allow our animals to live as naturally as possible. We only medicate when necessary and use natural products to prevent use of medicated feeds when possible.
Because we want our land to be here and safe for our kids to take over some day, we have an Environmental Farm Plan and are participating in Food Safety and Traceability programs as available.

Erbcroft's lamb is pasture-raised and grain-fed and are able to be in or out of the barn as they wish. |
The ducks swim the waters of a Black Creek tributary that runs though the farm's property, and are trained to come into the barn at night to avoid predators. |
Laying hens are free-range, meaning they have full access to the farm yard during the day. At night, they roost in chicken coops. Watch for our hens to greet you in the laneway. Poultry chickens are also pasture-raised and have closed quarters to safely roost at night. |
Come out and visit, you never know what other animal might be around. I love poultry and the smaller breeds like the Silkies and Bantams. We have a pair of each and allow them to hatch out their clutches at least once a year, more if they cooperate with us. :) The kids love the baby chicks. |
We also have pygmy goats, which are perennially popular with kids. This miniature version of the breeds that most are accustomed to seeing is very affectionate and irresistibly cute. |
